Box Hill Institute provides real training for careers in the animal care industry and has several courses tailored to meet the needs of the Animal Technology sector. The Certificate III in Animal Technology, and the Diploma of Animal Technology, are both Nationally recognised. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for experienced animal technicians with existing skills and knowledge. Box Hill Institute also offers short courses in 'Handling and Husbandry of Laboratory Mice', and 'Aseptic Techniques'. Both these short courses are tailored to meet the needs of animal technicians, and researchers engaged in relevant projects.
